Just a day after Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss, her mom Joyce and fiance Todd Tucker stopped by The View to discuss their family drama, Kandi’s co-star Nene Leakes made an appearance on Friday (Feb 21).
During the visit Nene discussed the drama that is playing out on and off screen as it pertains to her on going feud with fellow housewife Kenya Moore.
When asked by Whoopi when she was made aware of the charity event in her honor, Nene stated:
“I heard through the girls that there was going to be a charity event in my honor. I happen to be a big supporter of Saving Our Daughters, women of domestic abuse and all those things. I heard about it the night before from Kenya. I felt like if you’re gonna honor someone, you should at least call them up and say “hey, I would like to honor you, are you available on this date?”
When Barbara Walters asked Nene if she was angry, she revealed:
“Yes, i was angry with Kenya. She sent an evite. How do you send an evite to someone you’re honoring?” this is a charity event. She and I have differences. I felt like she could’ve called me and said “hey, let’s put our differences aside for a night of charity”.
NeNe also went on to say that she and Kenya have not made up since the fiasco, and when asked if she wants to make peace with Kenya, Nene did not answer only giving a quick shady smile.
When Sherri Sheppard mentioned that Kenya expressed that she feels none of the girls on the show have her back and is contemplating leaving after this season, Nene shadily responded:
“Really girl? You haven’t worked in ten years”.
Jenny McCarthy inquired as to whether Nene felt that her cast mates were jealous of her success she replied:
“I don’t want to say that they’re jealous of me. I just feel like it’s a bunch of women, we all work together and we are supportive of one another”.
However when asked if she is really friends with any of the ladies Nene delivered the most shade of all with a quick cut and dry NO!
She also went on to explain that she and Marlo Hampton were never really friends despite the fact that she was one of her bridesmaids in her wedding and only until recently did the two have a falling out. She explains that Marlo is NOT an official housewife in the first place and that she was brought on as a friend of Phaedra Parks.

Nene is sticking to her claims that Kenya did not approach her about the event personally even though the beauty queen swears that’s not the truth.

When Sherri Shepherd tells Nene that Kenya is thinking of quitting the show, she doesn’t seem to buy it.
“Really girl? You haven’t worked in ten years,” she quipped.
Then the real shade came when Nene admitted she’s not friends with ANY of her co-stars.
Nene also asserted that she isn’t responsible for bringing Marlo Hampton onto the show and acted like they were never that good of friends even though we all watched her as a bridesmaid for Nene’s wedding.
