Last Thursday it was announced that Wendy Williams had finally filed for divorce from husband/manager, Kevin Hunter after over 20 years of marriage. The news comes on the heels of a reported child being born with Kevin’s mistress of several years as well as ongoing reports of alleged abuse and infidelity.
Well Friday’s show was pre-taped so fans didn’t get to see Wendy address the matter, but on Monday during ‘Hot Topics,’ Wendy confirmed the news in a very subtle manner. The daytime diva revealed that her time in the sober house she currently resides, gave her some time to really think of every aspect of her life and that she will be leaving the sober house in a matter of days.
She went on to reveal that when she departs, she will be “going at it alone” and has a commitment to build a whole new life with she and her son.
“You wear a different mask when you’re out here. Everybody has things in their life that they’re – not ready to share with the world. Addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head-on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life. I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever. And by the way, I will still commit; I commit that the motto of this show will always be, ‘Their business is our business.’”
