Wendy Williams has been on the road to recovery for quite some time, but stunned fans when it was announced back in September that the former daytime diva was admitting herself into a wellness facility several weeks ago.
Up until that point, Wendy and her management team had been teasing her upcoming new podcast that was in the works, then in August she was admitted into the center. Her team then updated fans in September on the status of Wendy’s health:
“She is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a major comeback for the next level in her career with The Wendy Experience podcast. Ms. Williams is being treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world. We ask for your prayers and well wishes during this time.”
Well, now Wendy has officially been released and is home and doing “better than ever” according to her reps.
Williams’ publicist, Shawn Zanotti, exclusively spoke to ET on the update revealing:
“Wendy is excited about the road ahead and looking forward to releasing her many projects.”
He also delivered a message directly from Wendy to her supporters:
“Thank you to my fans for your love, support, and many prayers, I am back and better than ever.”
No word though on the status of the Wendy podcast, or what is next for the living legend. Stay tuned.
