To kick off his 2014 mega producer Pharrell Williams just scored his first Oscar nomination at the 86th Annual Academy Awards. The hit maker is nominated for Best Original Song for “Happy,” from the ‘Despicable Me 2’ Soundtrack and the track will also feature on his upcoming solo album we told you he is working on.
This news comes just a day after the announcement that Pharrell will be joining Bruno Mars on his Moonshine Jungle World Tour for select dates. The singer is also gearing up for a big night at the upcoming Grammy’s on Jan 26 where he holds 7 nominations including best album, and record and pop/duo group for his contributions to some of the years biggest hits.
