It appears Janet Jackson approved of the tribute she received at the BET Awards over a week ago during her ‘Ultimate Icon’ award presentation from Tinashe, Jason Derulo and Ciara. All three have made it very well known how much of an inspiration Janet was and how influential she was on their careers and the careers of many others. Well on Monday (July 6) Tinashe received a major surprise from the woman who inspired her, the Queen herself.
“WOW, Thank you queen @janetjackson for the beautiful flowers and note, my whole day (actually life) has been made,” Tinashe captioned a picture of stunning bouquet on Instagram sent to her by Janet. “I love you.”
“Tinashe, thank you for making the tribute so special,” the note reads. “Love and light always.”
We’re pretty sure Ciara and Jason received flowers or a gift too for their performance– a medley of hits including “Pleasure Principle,” “All For You,” “If,” and “Rhythm Nation.”
