TLC is moving forward with their upcoming “It’s Iconic” tour alongside Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue, despite recent backlash surrounding Chilli and calls from some fans for the group to be removed from the lineup.
The controversy began after federal campaign finance records revealed that Chilli (Rozonda Thomas) made donations totaling nearly $1,000 through platforms connected to Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign. The contributions were linked to Republican fundraising channels, including WinRed, which sparked immediate reaction across social media.
The situation intensified when fans also flagged a repost from Chilli’s social media account that referenced a conspiracy-related video involving former First Lady Michelle Obama. The post quickly circulated online, adding to the growing criticism.
Chilli addressed both matters in a public statement, denying any political alignment with Trump or the MAGA movement. She explained that her donations were made under the impression they were supporting causes she cares about, including anti-human trafficking efforts and veteran support, and said she did not realize how the funds were being routed. She also clarified that the Michelle Obama repost was accidental, stating it was shared unintentionally and reaffirming her respect for the former First Lady.

Despite the explanation, backlash continued online, with some fans questioning her claims and calling for accountability. Others have pushed for TLC to be removed from the tour altogether.
Still, the group is proceeding as planned. The “It’s Iconic” tour, which celebrates the legacy of TLC alongside fellow R&B and hip-hop icons Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue, is set to kick off this summer and has already generated strong ticket sales across multiple markets.
At this time, there have been no changes to the tour lineup, and TLC remains a headlining act as scheduled.
