Tyler Perry sent fans into a frenzy months ago when he teased a ‘Why Did I Get Married’ sequel, but it appears fans might have to wait just a bit longer.

The media mogul took to social media to tease a return to the fan-fave franchise which stars Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Tasha Smith, Perry, Malik Yoba, Michael Jai White, and more.

However, during an appearance on the Sherri show on Wednesday (Dec. 18) to promote his latest film ‘The Six Triple Eight,’ Perry star backtracked any immediate plans for ‘Why Did I Get Married 3?’

“I don’t think so. I want to, I want to. But there are a lot of logistics, but hopefully, we can pull it together. Everyone’s doing different things. Janet’s on tour, Jill’s on tour, I got a few things going on. Timing would to fall in place and everything else would have to fall into place.”
