Karen Huger might be a free woman sooner than expected, according to new reports.
As fans of ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ know, the Grande Dame was sentenced this past February to two years in prison, with one year suspended, for charges including driving under the influence stemming from a March 2024 car accident. She also received five years of probation and a year-long driving ban upon her release.
Reportedly, Karen was set to have an early release this November, but now, according to reports from The Jasmine Brand she might be getting out much sooner.
Sources tell us that the 62-year-old is set to be released next week, on September 2nd. This marks an early release for Karen, who was sentenced back in February to two years, with one suspended, $2,900 in fines, and five years of probation.
As reported, in 2024, Karen was convicted of driving under the influence and other charges connected to a crash near Oaklyn Drive in Potomac, Maryland. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved in the incident, but Karen’s white Maserati struck multiple street signs and trees before slamming into a pole. Later-released bodycam footage showed Karen appearing intoxicated, slurring her speech, and cursing at officers.
The news comes as production for Season 10 has been in full swing for weeks, and Monique Samuels is returning to the show, as previously reported here and covered on The Prince of Pop Culture Podcast.
Stay tuned.
